Chinese smartphone maker Realme has recorded a 7% share in the Indian market in the first quarter of 2019 and the company has set a target to sell 1.5 crore smartphones by the end of this year. The Chief Executive Office of the Indian Business company this Monday gave this information. The online-focused device maker had entered the market from 2018 and joined the top five smartphone companies with an 8% market share in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Madhav Seth, Chief Executive Officer, Realme India said, "We have targeted to sell at least 1.5 million smartphones this year and I have full confidence in achieving this goal." The handset manufacturer will open 8 exclusive stores in the metros by the end of the year and the first store of this type will open in July.

However, the company says that its focus is also on small and medium cities. Seth said, "We are also concentrating on Nagpur, Nashik and Pune. We are also preparing to play pop-up stores in the North East.' The company aims to open 50 exclusive stores and six exclusive stores this year.

Let us tell you that this company has launched two new smartphones last week. Realme C2 Smartphone has been launched with entry level subscribers in mind, while the Reality 3 Pro smartphone has been introduced in a budget of less than Rs 15,000. This smartphone is in direct competition with the Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone in the Indian market.
