Ola Electric is developing its first electric vehicle, which would be available in the Indian market in 2024. The company's first electric four-wheeler will have a range of over 500km on a single charge and is said to go from 0-100kmph in 4 seconds. Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal allegedly revealed the price specifics of the future electric car in an update.
It would make its debut in the country as a premium product. Ola Electric made its EV debut last year with the release of the Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters. It just debuted its new S1 electric scooter, which costs Rs. 99,999.
According to Cartoq, Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO, and Co-Founder of Ola Electric, allegedly stated to PTI that the company's first electric car will be priced between Rs. 40-50 lakh. Aggarwal is quoted in the report as saying "Ola's product range will range from Rs. 1 lakh (entry-level two-wheelers) to Rs. 40-50 lakh (premium electric car), with the company's vision being to be a global leader in mid-size, small, and premium electric cars suitable for markets and consumers such as India. The e-car will be India's "fastest and sportiest." We have a comprehensive automobile roadmap in the works."
During the virtual launch ceremony for the Ola S1 on August 15, Ola said that its first electric car will be available in 2024. It is considered to be one of the quickest automobiles in India, capable of going from 0-100kmph in 4 seconds.
It will have a range of more than 500 kilometers on a single charge. The EV will also have a glass roof and will be powered by the company's MoveOS software. It will also include assisted driving features, as well as keyless and handleless doors.
Ola Electric, which began producing two-wheelers last year, released the Ola S1 last week as the company's second electric scooter in India, priced at Rs. 99,999.
The new Ola S1 replaces the Ola S1 Pro and is available in Coral Glam, Jet Black, Liquid Silver, Neo Mint, and Porcelain White. It is powered by MoveOS 2. The battery capacity of the Ola S1 is 3KWh. It has a peak speed of 95kmph and an ARAI range of 141km as well as a regular range of 101km.
