According to a source, the Nokia N73 is making a reappearance with a Penta rear camera system with a 200-megapixel main sensor. The first Nokia N73 was released in 2006. The Symbian OS-based device quickly became one of the most popular smartphones of its time.

HMD Global, the Nokia brand licensee, may be planning to rekindle that success with the new Nokia N73. Renders of the rumored phone's Penta camera arrangement have surfaced online ahead of its formal announcement.

Nokia N73 has been Detailed by China's CNMO

The new Nokia N73 has been detailed by China's CNMO. The phone is claimed to be in the works and will have the 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP1 main sensor, which was launched in September 2021 and was previously rumored to be available on the Motorola Frontier, which is set to debut this week.

Nokia N73's design Comes With Penta Camera Configuration

The news outlet also provided a handful of renderings of the upcoming Nokia N73's design. One of the renderings depicts the phone's Penta camera configuration, in which two secondary camera modules appear to be the same size while the other three are unique. As shown in the graphic, the camera arrangement is also combined with a twin LED flash.

Notably, HMD Global released the Nokia 9 PureView, its first Penta camera phone, in 2019. That phone drew notice because of its distinctively built, circular camera arrangement. However, due to the unusual camera setup, there were some software issues, at least at first.

The renders released by the Chinese source also show the upcoming Nokia N73 in black with curved edges. On one side, the phone looks to contain a volume rocker and a power button.

The exact specifics of when we could see the new Nokia N73 in person are yet unknown. The Finnish company has not yet released any official information on its new model. For the time being, it is prudent to take the reported information with a grain of salt.
