Flipkart to Deliver Items to Your Doorstep in Just 15 Minutes
Flipkart might launch its quick commerce vertical in India, named Flipkart Minutes, which could be introduced in July. This information was reported by Business Today.
Speculations about Flipkart entering the quick commerce space have been circulating since the beginning of this year. This will be Flipkart's third attempt to enter the quick commerce market.
Previously, the company made two attempts in the past few years, which did not succeed significantly. The quick commerce sector currently includes platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, and BBNow, with Blinkit holding the most dominance.
Items Will Be Delivered In 15 Minutes
According to sources, Flipkart Minutes aims to deliver goods within 15 minutes. This service is expected to launch on July 15.
Through Flipkart Minutes, the company will not only focus on groceries and other essential items but also include branded electronic products.
Previously, the company launched a service called Flipkart Quick, which targeted 90-minute deliveries.
Quick Commerce Market Growing Post-Covid
The company has not yet made any official announcement regarding Flipkart Minutes. Since the beginning of this year, there has been speculation about the company entering the quick commerce market, especially after the deal with Zepto fell through.
The quick commerce market has grown significantly post-Covid. Blinkit is also expanding its platform. In addition to Flipkart, Reliance might enter this market as well. Recent reports claimed that Reliance is set to launch its quick commerce service soon.
