The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting's Twitter account has been hacked. The profile has been renamed " Elon Musk" and hackers have placed the picture of a fish on it. In addition to this countless tweets have been sent out from the account in the last few days.
These hackers could be the same people who previously hacked Prime Minister Modi's Twitter account, judging from the way of operation. Previously ICWA, IMA, and other organizations' Twitter accounts had been hacked.
According to sources, the password was hacked or a website related to hacking was send to the account with the intention of hacking it. This might have been done by whoever was In-charge of that account. This might be happened due to the carelessness of the person incharge of handling the account. CERT or the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, is now investigating this and trying to get the account back up and running as quickly as possible.
Now the account has been restored. The investigation is going on that who hacked the account and created all this mess on the account of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
