Bharti Airtel's Chairman, Sunil Mittal, hinted in an interview just a few days ago that their company is planning to increase tariff plan prices.
He mentioned that it's necessary to raise plan prices to sustain in the industry. Now, Airtel has indeed started increasing the prices of its prepaid plans.
India's largest and most popular telecom company, Airtel, has increased the prices of its two prepaid plans. Airtel has raised the prices of its ₹118 and ₹289 prepaid plans. Both these plans are 4G plans.
Airtel's ₹118 prepaid plan now costs ₹129. Similarly, the price of the ₹289 4G prepaid plan has been increased to ₹329. The new prices of these two plans have also been updated on Airtel's app and website.
Airtel's ₹129 plan comes with 12GB of internet data. Users can utilize this data anytime during the validity of their active prepaid plan. The validity of this 12GB data will be the same as that of the user's current prepaid plan.
This plan does not offer any additional benefits to users. However, previously, the price of this plan was ₹118, which meant that the cost of internet data was ₹9.83 per GB. But with the price increase, the data will now cost ₹10.75 per GB.
Previously priced at ₹289, Airtel's ₹329 plan now offers users a validity of 35 days. This plan includes unlimited voice calling, 4GB of data, and 300 SMS.
