Czech Republic's Jiri Wesley won the singles title of Tata Open Maharashtra by defeating Igor Gerasimov of Belarus. Wesley defeated the Gerasimov 7-6 (7-2), 5-7, 6-3 in the tournament played on Sunday at the Mahalunga Balewadi Stadium in Pune, Wesley won the price money of $ 546,355. Wesley won the first set of the match, which lasted about two-and-a-half hours, 7-6. At one time both were at 5-5, and then both were tied at 6-6, then the set went to a tiebreaker, where Wesley won 7–2.

The second set also witnessed fierce competition between the two players. At one point the two were tied at 5-5, but Gerasimov first took a 6-5 lead and then won the set at 7-5 to make the match a thrilling third and decisive set. However, Wesley won 6-3 in the deciding set. Wesley defeated second seed Ricardas Berankis 6-7 (8-10), 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (9-7) in the first semi-final, while Gerasimov beat James Duckworth of Australia in the second semi-final by 7-6 (7-2), (6-4). Earlier, Indonesia's Christopher Rungkat and Sweden's Andre Goranson performed brilliantly to win the doubles title of the tournament.
