Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami said on Wednesday that the state of Covid-19 outbreak in the state is largely under control due to implementation of various government guidelines, but due to the high population in Chennai, the infection is spreading rapidly here is. Indicating the resumption of production activities in the green zone areas of the state, Palaniswami expressed displeasure over those not following the social distance law and asked the concerned district administrations to follow this principle.
Addressing a review meeting with district collectors on the corona virus, he patted the officers for their efforts in tackling the epidemic and said that the government's steps in preventing it from spreading have proved effective due to its efforts. "The outbreak is largely under control in districts other than Chennai," he said.
