Taliban spokesman and head of the Taliban Culture Council Zabiullah Mujahid appeared before the world for the first time on Tuesday after the occupation of Afghanistan. On one side the Taliban rule is being established in Afghanistan. Vice-President Amrullah Saleh has declared himself the President of Afghanistan. "President Ashraf Ghani is out of the country. That's why I am the President now according to the Constitution. I appeal to everyone for their support.

President Ashraf Ghani left the country three days ago after the Taliban captured Kabul. There was speculation then that Vice President Amarullah Saleh had also left Afghanistan. However, Saleh is being told that he is currently in Panjshir, where further strategy against the Taliban is being worked out.
