Suspect in Bombing Mangaluru Airport Aditya Rao Surrenders

Aditya Rao, the suspect who planted the bomb at Mangaluru Airport, has surrendered to the Bangalore Police. Mangaluru Police investigation team is going to Bangalore to interrogate him. There was a stir on Monday near the airport ticket counter after an 'alive' bomb was found in an unclaimed bag.

Earlier, Mangaluru city police commissioner PS Harsha said on Tuesday that many people were questioned and several suspicious locations were investigated in the case. A CISF officer was found near the ticket counter on Monday, a bag full of potentially explosive substances. It was later defused by the bomb squad. The commissioner said that three police teams investigating the case are investigating it from all angles. The culprit will be tightened as soon as possible.

The interrogators also included the auto rickshaw driver, from whose auto the suspect arrived at the airport. At the same time, the terminal manager received a bomb threat in an Indigo aircraft going to Bangalore. After this, the plane left late. The police is also investigating whether there is a connection between these two incidents.

The Bomb Disposal and Detection Squad has sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory to find out the nature of the explosive. Harsha further said that people are sending photographs and videos of suspicious looking people to police, which are being investigated. The auto rickshaw driver who took the suspect to the airport told police that the man had another bag, which he had left in a saloon in Kanger before going to the airport. He collected the bag on the way back and landed at Pumpwell Junction.
