Supreme Court to Consider Bail Plea for Sajjan kumar in 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots

Supreme Court soon to hear for the Bail Plea for Formal Congress Leader Sajjan Kumar in 1984 Anti-sikh Riots. On Monday, Supreme court said that they will consider for the case soon. Senior advocate Shekhar Naphade filed a bail plea from Sajjan Kumar's side. Shekhar appealed supreme court for the hearing of  the case should be started soon.

Congress's Formal Leader Sajjan Kumar was convicted to the life Imprisonment in this case by Delhi High Court. Sajjan kumar had challenged the Delhi High court order in Supreme Court later. But, supreme court had refused the bail plea of Sajjan kumar in August.  Delhi High Court had sentenced life Imprisonment to Sajjan Kumar in 2018 in Anti-sikh riot case for murder of Sikhs near Delhi Cantt area in the year 1984.

Formal Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi was shot dead by her two sikh bodyguards. The very next day of the incident, a riot broke out in many areas of Delhi. Sajjan Kumar was accused of inciting a riot against the Sikhs. Sajjan Kumar was convicted by the High Court in this case. He was surrendered to the lower court on 31 December after being sentenced to life imprisonment. After this he was sent to Mandoli Jail.
