Sunil Jakhar Asks Amarinder Singh to Take Charge of Government

Punjab Congress President Sunil Jakhar has also said a big thing after Congress MLAs said that the command of the government is in the hands of the officers. Jakhar has given a lot of advice to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. Seeing resentment among common people, Congress workers and MLAs, he has advised Amarinder Singh to take charge of the government himself. He said that whether the work the state government is doing is happening on the ground or not, it is for the captain to see. What method the Chief Minister adopts for this is up to them.

He said that the command of the government is with the captain as the Chief Minister. Serious meanings are being extracted by this statement of the state president. In fact, Congress MLAs are repeatedly alleging that bureaucracy dominates the government in such a way that they do not listen. Many legislators have even said that the government is running bureaucracy, not Captain.

Giving the example of the battle of Panipat, Jakhar said that when Babur first rode the elephant, he asked where its command was. So his sentries told that the command is in the hands of Mahavat. Babar said that he would not ride any such thing which was not in his hands. He said that now the opportunity has come that the captain should handle himself by not giving the command of the government to Mahavat.

Jakhar said that the image of the captain is very big and the burden of this image is on his shoulders. Seeing the promises made by the Captain in the election, the public gave the Congress 77 seats more than expected. I think this increased people's expectations from us and we were not able to deliver as much. That is why people are growing restless. To handle this situation, the Chief Minister has to change the dignity of his ministers, he has to change the bureaucracy in a big way.

In response to a question, Jakhar said that there is no lack of vision in the government. We implemented schemes like debt waiver as soon as we arrived. If we wanted, we could have avoided it like the Akalis, saying that we have got a mandate of five years, we will do it in the last year.
