She revealed in a video on Instagram that whenever she goes to the airport, she is asked to get her artificial limb removed and checked. In the video, Sudha has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to change this system. Sudha says in the video, 'Good evening, this is a very personal thing that I want to tell our Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. This is my appeal to the central and state governments. My name is Sudha Chandran. I am an actress and professional dancer. I have created history by dancing with an artificial limb and have made my country proud many times.

Every time I go on professional visits, I am stopped at the airport. When I request the security and CISF officers to please do an ETD (Explosive Trace Detector) test for my artificial limb, they still don't agree and asked me to take off my artificial limb and show it. Modi Ji is this humanity? Does a woman respect another woman in the same way? Modi Ji, I request you to give a card to senior citizens so that they can say that they are senior citizens. Sharing the video, Sudha wrote, 'Very hurt, every time this type of grilling hurts a lot, hope my message reaches the Central Government Authority and they take some action at the earliest.'

Had to amputate at the age of 17

Sudha had to amputate her leg in an accident at the age of 17. After which his dancing career was in danger, but he made a mark in the film and TV industry by preparing with fake feet. The film was again made in his same spirit.

This is how the accident happened

Sudha started learning Bharatnatyam at the age of 3. She would go to school every morning, then go dancing to school and reach home at 9.30 pm. She was one of the class toppers in class 10th with 80 percent but took arts instead of science stream to continue dancing. Once she was going by bus and the bus met with an accident. In which he suffered a fracture in his leg. He suffered the least injury among all the passengers. There were also some wounds. The doctor bandaged him. After some time that wound became gangrene. Due to which his toe had to be amputated. At that time he was only 17 years old.

How to start dancing again

Sudha was fitted with an artificial limb in Jaipur and learned to walk again. It took him 4 months to walk straight. After some time Sudha started dancing again. When she got an offer to perform at St. Xavier's, she was very scared before going on stage. However, the performance was very good, got a standing ovation. When she reached behind the stage after the performance, her father touched her feet and said that I am touching Saraswati's feet, you have made the impossible possible. That time became the turning point of his life.

Sudha with TV shows like 'Nache Mayuri'(1986), 'Shola Aur Shabnam'(1992), 'Anjaam'(1994), 'Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain'(1999), 'Shaadi Kar Phans Gaye Yaar'(2006) ), has worked in many South films with 'Malamal Weekly' (2006).
