Stock Market Sets New Record, Sensex at Historic Hight of 40376

The stock market is moving in a boom for the third consecutive session this week. Because of this, the Sensex has reached historic highs. During the trading, the Sensex broke all its previous records so far and reached a historical level of 40375.85. Prior to this, the SENSEX reached a level of 40,312 on 4 June 2019.

Yes Bank shares rose 35 percent

During the afternoon trading, Yes Bank shares rose by 35 per cent. In fact, a global investor has offered to invest $ 1.2 billion in Yes Bank due to newly issued equity shares. This is the highest climbing stock of Sensex and Nifty today. Yes Bank's stock reached Rs 78.70 on Nifty.

Markets around the world were strengthened due to the cut in interest rates by the US central bank Federal Reserve and this also affected the Indian markets. Foreign portfolio investors have bought more than 7 thousand crore rupees in the Indian stock market.

The Sensex saw a spurt in 555 stocks and a fall in 145 stocks. Prominent stocks to rise include JK Tire, HDFC Bank, United Bank of India, SBI, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Infosys etc., while Tata Motors, Yes Bank, Eicher Motors were the leading stocks among the declining stocks. The indices of all sectors are shown in green mark. This growth is being led by PSU Bank, IT, Metal, Energy and FMCG sectors.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex opened 122 points higher than the previous trading session at 39,953. During the business, the Sensex crossed the important figure of 40 thousand. At the end of trading, the Sensex gained 220.03 points to close at 40,051.87. Similarly, the NSE Nifty climbed 57.25 points to close at 11,844. On Monday, trading in the stock market was closed on the occasion of Diwali-Bali Pratipada.

Prior to this, the Sensex had closed at 40,267 on June 3, which is the highest closing level before it. On 4 June 2019, the Sensex reached a level of 40,312 during trading. This is the earlier record of SENSEX.

After the budget presented by the new government on July 5, the Sensex has crossed the figure of 40 thousand on Wednesday for the first time. Prior to this, the Sensex closed at 40,083 on 4 June 2019. After this, shortly before presenting the budget on July 5, the Sensex had crossed 40 thousand during business.
