Stock Market, Sensex Crosses 42000 after Opening, Nifty also Climbed-up

On the first day of the week, on Monday, the Sensex and Nifty saw excellent growth in the opening trade. The Sensex jumped 328.50 points to open at a record high of 42,273.87, while the Nifty gained 78.15 points to 12,430.50.

New Delhi: Sensex made a big jump as soon as the stock market opened on Monday. With a gain of 328.50 points, it opened at a record level of 42,273.87 points, while the Nifty opened with a gain of 78.15 at 12,430.50.

Apart from this, investors are also waiting for the December quarter earnings of many companies which are going to be released today. Companies announcing their earnings include Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Securities, Federal Bank, Can Fin Home, Hindustan Zinc. HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, L&T Technology Services, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies are the stocks that will be in the news today after the earnings report of private companies for the quarter ended December 31, 2019.

In Top Gainer and Looser, HCL Tech today ranks among the top 30 stocks of the Sensex, with a 2% gain, though later volatile. While the power grid grew by about 6%, Yes Bank gained 2% and RIL achieved a growth of 0.56%. At the same time TCS lost 1%.

Let us tell you that before the signing of the initial trade agreement between the US and China, there was a boom in the global markets. On its own, the Sensex touched the 42,000 mark for the first time in early trade on Thursday last week. The Nifty had also reached a record high. The 30-share sensitive index Sensex of the BSE was at 42,000.38 points, after gaining 127.65 points, or 0.30 percent, after reaching the level of 42,009.94 points.
