Stock Market Picks-up after Volatility, Sensex Rises 182 Points, Adani Gas Breaks Down 13%

On Friday morning, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex started down by 10 points at 41,377.04, but after some volatility, the stock market gained momentum. Adani Gas shares have lost 13 percent.
Stock Market Picks-up after Volatility, Sensex Rises 182 Points, Adani Gas Breaks Down 13%

Stock markets are open flat on the last trading day of the week. In the morning, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex started down by 10 points at 41,377.04, but after a few ups and downs, the market is now looking up. Adani Gas shares fell 13 percent.

By 10.20 am, the Sensex had gained about 197 points. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty opened 6 points down at 12,174.55. By 9.20 am, the Sensex had lost 100 points. Then by 10.20 am, the Sensex rose 197 points to reach 41,583.

Nearly 517 stocks saw a sharp rise and 267 declined. The leading stocks to rise include Yes Bank, Coal India, Zee Entertainment, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank etc., while the falling stocks include Power Grid, Adani Gas, Biocon and PNB Housing.

Adani Gas shares fell 13 percent on Friday. In fact, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has sent a notice to the company in the matter of hiding many kinds of information.

Market Boomed on Thursday

Significantly, the first three trading days of this week – Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday saw a big decline in the Indian stock market. In these three days, the Sensex lost a total of 830 points, while the Nifty lost about 245 points. But on the fourth business day of the week i.e. Thursday, this fall has been braked.

At the end of trading on Thursday, the SENSEX closed at the level of 41,386.40 points with a gain of 271.02 points. Likewise, if you talk about Nifty, it was up by 73.45 points at 12,180.35 points.

On Thursday, 23 out of 30 stocks of the Sensex rose. LT (2.98 percent), Mahindra and Mahindra (2.27 percent), State Bank of India (2.26 percent), Titan (2.25 percent) and Infosys (1.90 percent) were the top gainers. On Thursday, the Sensex's leading stocks fell. Tech Mahindra (1.19 per cent), TCS (0.59 per cent), Bajaj-Auto (0.41 per cent), Reliance (0.40 per cent) and Bajaj-Finance (0.26 per cent). The midcap and smallcap indices of BSE gained momentum.
