The market started with weakness on the second day of the trading week. Sensex opened at 55,565.64 and Nifty opened at 16,545.25. At present, the Sensex is trading at 55,627 with a gain of 45 points and the Nifty is trading at 16,577 with a gain of 14 points.
Out of 30 stocks of Sensex, 20 stocks are rising and 10 stocks are trading in red mark. In which shares of Tech Mahindra are trading with a gain of more than 3% and shares of Asian Paints. On the other hand, IndusInd Bank's stock is seeing a decline of more than 1%.
The market is getting support from IT, FMCG and Pharma shares. All the three indices on NSE are up about 1-1%. Tech Mahindra's stock is seeing a gain of more than 3% in the IT index. Cipla shares are trading with a gain of about 2% in the Pharma Index.
2,131 shares are being traded on BSE. In which 948 shares are trading with an increase and 1,096 shares are trading in the red mark. With this, the total market cap of the listed companies has also crossed Rs 240.17 lakh crore. Earlier on Monday, the Sensex closed 145 points higher at 55,582.58 and Nifty closed 33.95 points higher at 16,563.

Earlier, mixed trading was also seen in the US stock market. The Dow Jones climbed 0.31% to close at 35,625. The Nasdaq closed 0.20% down at 14,793 and the S&P 500 gained 0.26% at 4,480.
