Rajasthan Premier League: In a significant sporting event, the Rajasthan Premier League (RPL) is set to kick off today, marking the first major cricket tournament in the state.
The government, along with the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), has shown full support for local players, and the people of Rajasthan are enthusiastic about backing their homegrown talent.
The RPL's grand opening ceremony will take place today, August 27, 2023, at the Barkatullah Stadium in Jodhpur.
The highlight of the event will be the launch of RPL's anthem song 'Dhamak Ke Khelo Rajasthan' in a live concert.
The music for the anthem is composed by Ravindra Upadhyay himself, along with his 14-year-old son and emerging music composer, Shreedhar Upadhyay. The lyrics for the anthem are written by director Ashwin Kumar.
The grand opening ceremony of the Rajasthan Premier League will witness the presence of prominent figures, including Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Speaker of the Assembly CP Joshi, RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot, and former Indian cricket team captain and World Cup winner Kapil Dev.
The song 'Dhamak Ke Khelo Rajasthan' which is now a topic of discussion in the Rajasthan Premier League, aims to boost the morale of the state's players.
During a conversation with acclaimed singer Ravindra Upadhyay, he revealed that through this song, he has attempted to instil a sense of enthusiasm among Rajasthan's players.
