Rajasthan: The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau detained Jaipur Heritage Mayor's husband, Sushil Gurjar, and two other intermediaries on Friday night for receiving a bribe of Rs. 2 lakh in connection with a land lease issue.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team also raided the accused's dwellings and recovered more than Rs. 40 lakh in cash in Mayor’s (Munesh Gurjar) house as well as the complainer's lease documents. Cash worth Rs. 8 lakh has also been recovered from the broker’s house in the following raids.

It is worth noting that the Additional Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau Mr. Hemant Priyadarshy received the complaint against Sushil Gurjar( Mayor Munesh Gurjar's husband) through the Jaipur Special Investigation Wing (SIW).
The complaint spoke about the ill practices undertaken by Sushil Gurjar in issuing a land lease through the two middlemen mentioned in the complaint, Narayan Singh and Anil Dube.
It was after the complaint that, under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr. Randheer Singh, an ACB team on Friday, laid a trap in which Narayan Singh was caught red-handed while accepting Rs. 2 lakh bribe. The ACB team also caught, Anil Dubey and Sushil Gurjar in their alleged involvement in the matter.
As per a statement released by ACB, the accused are being interrogated under the directions of DIGP, Randheer Singh. We are also in the process of searching their houses in different locations and a case was filed under the relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act against the accused, said ACB in an official statement.
While speaking to the press, minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that the Government of Rajasthan was against any sort of corrupt practices in the state.
He also stated that all the actions taken up by ACB relied on concrete evidence and the Congress government of Rajasthan would not tolerate any corrupt person or action that abuses the rights of the honest people.
The BJP state president, CP Joshi accused the Congress government of recurring corrupt practices in the state, in each and every department. He also claimed that the truth can come out only if proper investigation takes place.
