Most Awaited Fest Jaipur Literature Festival got Delayed
The most awaited festival Jaipur Literature Fest is organized virtually for the past two years and this type was going to happen on the ground but the widespread coronavirus delayed this fest. Now this will happen in March. The 15th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF), which was supposed to take place between January 28 and February 1, has been rescheduled until March 5-14, according to the organizers. The Jaipur Literature Festival 2022 will be held in Clarks Amer Jaipur. Amber Teamwork Arts, the producer of the famed Jaipur Literature Festival, has delayed this due to the widespread coronavirus.
Sanjoy K. Roy, Managing Director of Teamwork Arts, who produce the Jaipur Literature Festival on the fest says why it got delayed.
“Keeping in mind the advent of the new variant and the sharp rise in the number of cases across the country, we have thought it best to reschedule the Festival and hold it in March 2022. We remain committed to bringing the Festival back to Jaipur as an on-ground, immersive experience, promoting dialogue, discussion, and debate on books and ideas.”

The event, which will be held in hybrid mode, is projected to attract some 250 authors, intellectuals, politicians, and pop culture stars from around the world. The legendary annual Jaipur Literature Festival will return to its beloved home of Jaipur this year in a hybrid form that includes both its on-ground splendor and its savvy internet presence. The hybrid edition will make the Festival's offers more accessible to a wider audience, reaching out to book lovers from all around the world. This Festival has never been a more potent feast of reading, dialogue, and companionship.
Who will attend the Fest this year
Elif Shafak, a Turkish bestselling novelist, Rupert Everett, award-winning Sri Lankan writer Shehan Karunatilaka, prominent Jamaican poet Kei Miller, Booker Prize winner Damon Galgut, 2003 Booker Prize winner DBC Pierre British, and historian-biographer Andrew Lownie are among those attending.
Registration for Jaipur literature festival
Registration and admission to the Festival's Online Edition are both free and accessible to the public. The On-Ground Edition of the Festival will cost INR 200 per day to register for.
