Delhi Court Summons Ashok Gehlot: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has been summoned by Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court in a defamation case filed by Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
The court has directed Gehlot to appear before it on August 7th.
In February 2023, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took to Twitter, alleging that Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Union Jal Shakti Minister, was implicated in the Sanjivani scam.
Gehlot stated that the Special Operations Group's investigation had established Shekhawat's involvement, similar to the other arrested individuals connected to the Sanjivani scam.
In April, Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat approached the Rouse Avenue Court, alleging that the chief minister had defamed him by falsely implicating him in the Rs 900-crore Sanjivani Credit Society scam.
Shekhawat emphasized that during the investigation conducted by the Rajasthan government into the case, his name was not mentioned or associated with any wrongdoing.
On Thursday (July 06), Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi heard the matter. After this, the court issued a summons to CM Ashok Gehlot. He has been ordered to appear in court on August 7.
