Gangster Anand Pal Encounter Case: A new development has emerged in the case of the encounter of Rajasthan's notorious gangster Anand Pal Singh. The Jodhpur court has rejected the CBI's closure report.
The ACJM CBI court has taken action against the five police officers involved in this encounter. The court has ordered a trial and investigation under Section 302 against the police officers involved in the encounter.
Anand Pal's encounter took place on June 24, 2017. The family filed a case, claiming that the encounter was fake.
After the gangster's encounter, his family claimed it was a fake encounter and challenged it in court. The CBI submitted a closure report to the court in this case, which denied the claim of a fake encounter.
However, the lawyer representing Anand Pal's wife argued that there were injury marks on Anand Pal's body. He stated that the police report clearly indicated that Anand Pal was shot at close range, pointing towards a fake encounter. Other evidence also suggested that it was a fake encounter.
Consequently, the court ordered a trial against the then Churu SP Rahul Barhat, the then Additional SP Vidya Prakash Chaudhary, DSP Suryaveer Singh Rathore, and RAC Head Constable Kailash.
The police reported that Anand Pal's associates had informed them about his hideout in Malasar. Once the information was confirmed, the Special Operations Group (SOG) surrounded the location to apprehend Anand Pal.
According to the police, as soon as the team arrived, Anand Pal started firing at them from the rooftop. The SOG retaliated, resulting in a shootout during which Anand Pal was killed. Six bullets hit him.
Officials mentioned that approximately 8 to 9 crore rupees were spent in the operation to capture him.
It is said that Anand Pal greatly admired the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. He followed every piece of news related to Dawood and idolized him.
According to police sources, while Anand Pal was imprisoned, he used to read books about Dawood.
