Mohalla Clinics in Punjab: During the elections, AAP promised to set up Mohalla Clinic in Punjab on the lines of Delhi. In this regard, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held an important meeting with Health Minister Dr Vijay Singla and officials of the Health Department today i.e. May 20.
According to Chief Minister Mann, Mohalla Clinics will be established in the state soon on the lines of Delhi. CM Mann also said “We will keep our promise to the people of the state of providing decent, affordable health care”.
On the occasion of the country's 75th Independence Day, these Mohalla Clinics will be inaugurated. 75 Mohalla Clinics will be established in the first phase. The Mohalla Clinics will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mann himself.
In a tweet, the Chief Minister stated that he held an important discussion with officials from the Ministry of Health. We will make the country's health services excellent throughout the country.
Earlier, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had directed the formation of vigilance committees at the district, block and depot level to monitor the smooth distribution of wheat under the National Food Security Act, 2013.
It is to be mentioned that the state government is distributing 5 kg wheat per beneficiary per month to 1.5 crore person which are benefiting 40 lakh families. The cabinet has recently approved home delivery of flour to the beneficiaries with effect from 1st October, 2022.
