Maharashtra: Angry MNS workers vandalized Gonde toll plaza after Raj Thackeray's Son Amit Thackeray's car was stopped. The video of vandalism at the toll plaza is going viral on social media.
After the video went viral on social media, Amit Thackeray gave clarification in front of the media.
Amit Thackeray said that when I asked the reason for stopping the vehicle, the toll employees misbehaved with me, after which the MNS workers started vandalizing the toll plaza.
Amit Thackeray was going towards Shirdi from Samridhi Expressway. Around 9 pm, Amit Thackeray's car reached the Gonde toll plaza in Sinnar. The barrier did not open due to FASTag being blacklisted. Amit's car was dispatched within 3 minutes as soon as the matter was resolved.
Party workers got angry due to Amit Thackeray being stopped at the toll plaza and made to wait longer. The workers alleged that Amit Thackeray was made to wait and manhandled after which the workers ransacked the toll.
According to the local police, the toll administration has not registered any complaint. The police are probing the matter and looking at the CCTV footage, it has also said that action will be taken against the accused.
