Manoj Sane, a 56-year-old man, was arrested for the gruesome murder of his live-in partner. He is accused of killing 32-year-old Saraswati Vaidya, chopping her body into pieces, and boiling them.

However, during police interrogations, Manoj denied being responsible for Saraswati's murder. According to his statement, he claimed that Saraswati had consumed poison and died by suicide on June 3.

Fearing that he would be wrongly implicated in her murder, Manoj admitted to disposing of her body by chopping it up and boiling it in a cooker.

The chopped body parts were found in Manoj's residence in Maharashtra's Thane district, where he lived.

Manoj explained that upon returning home on June 3, he discovered Saraswati lying lifeless on the floor with saliva coming out of her mouth. He asserted that he examined her and confirmed she was already dead.

Sane also claimed that he is HIV-positive

Sane has also asserted that he is HIV-positive and stated that he never engaged in any physical relationship with Vaidya. He described his relationship with her as one where he treated her like his daughter.

In an attempt to avoid being framed for murder, he decided to dismember her body and remove any evidence.

Manoj disclosed that he used two tree cutters to chop the body and then boiled the parts in a pressure cooker to separate the flesh from the bones and eliminate any potential foul odor.

He also admitted to disposing of some body parts earlier. Disturbingly, he showed no remorse for his actions and even revealed plans for his suicide.

Body parts have been sent to JJ Hospital for post-mortem

Additionally, neighbours reported that Manoj had been feeding stray dogs in recent days, a behaviour he had not exhibited before.

The police continue their investigations into the case, and the recovered body parts have been sent to JJ Hospital for post-mortem examination. However, officials remain sceptical and unconvinced by Manoj's statements.

Upon returning home in the evening, Sane was unaware of the presence of the police at his residence. In an attempt to escape, he made an effort to flee but was apprehended. The dismembered body parts were so numerous that the police were unable to provide an accurate count.
