Connection of Kerala Policemen with PFI: A big disclosure has come about Kerala Police. Sources have revealed that 873 personnel of Kerala Police have links with the banned radical outfit Popular Front of India (PFI).

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has given a report to the Director General of Police, Kerala in this regard. As per reports, at least 873 officers of Kerala Police have links with the banned organisation Popular Front of India.

According to the Intelligence Bureau report, officers of the rank of Sub-Inspector (SI) and Station Head Officer (SHO) and civil policemen are under the scanner of central agencies.

Sources have revealed that the central investigative agencies are now collecting details of the financial transactions of these officers so that the PFI connection can be traced.

Connection of Kerala policemen with PFI: Allegations of leaking confidential information

According to the Intelligence Bureau report, the primary allegation against the Kerala Police officials is that they leaked several information, including the planning of the state police, especially about the raids.

Earlier in February, a civil police officer attached to the Karimannoor police station in Thodupuzha was dismissed from service for allegedly leaking details of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders to the PFI.

Three policemen, including an SI, were transferred from Munnar police station on similar charges.

On September 22 and September 27, taking action PFI, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided its locations in multiple states.

In the first round of the raid, about 106 and in the second round of the raid, about 247 people associated with PFI were arrested.

In the raids, the investigating agencies had found strong evidence against PFI, after which the Ministry of Home Affairs banned PFI and 8 organizations associated with it across the country.

The Ministry of Home Affairs in its notification said that the Popular Front of India and its 8 affiliated organizations have been banned for having links with global terrorist organizations and for involvement in several terror cases.
