In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, the brother of an active terrorist associated with the extremist organization Hizbul Mujahideen unfurled the Indian tricolour at his residence.
The brother of the militant Javid Mattoo, inspired by the appeal, raised the national flag at his home. Raees Mattoo, the brother of the terrorist, resides in Sopore, Kashmir.
A video of Raees Mattoo waving the flag from his balcony has gone viral on social media. The video showcases Raees Mattoo, the brother of Hizbul terrorist Javid Mattoo, unfurling the flag from his residence.
It's worth noting that ahead of Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to participate in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign from August 13 to 15.
Prior to this, a massive 'Tricolor' rally was organized in Srinagar on Sunday, with Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha participating.
The Lieutenant Governor remarked, "Those who used to say that no one in Jammu and Kashmir will be left who raises the tricolour must now understand that every youth of Jammu and Kashmir loves the national flag as much as people from any other part of the country do."
Apart from Srinagar, tricolour rallies were conducted in various districts including Badgam.
