The State Special Operations Cell has arrested two accused, including a woman, for carrying out terrorist activities. Both were presented in the district court on Monday seeking a five-day remand. But the court granted police remand for two days.

According to the information, the accused Surinder Kaur is a resident of Faridkot and Lakhbir Singh District Hoshiarpur. Surinder Kaur is a staff nurse at a private hospital in Ludhiana. While Lakhbir Singh works as a driver in Dubai. This operation was kept secret by the police. The accused were also produced secretly in court.

According to police sources, the life of both the accused was identified through Facebook. After this, both of them started working together. Police had received information in this regard. After which the Facebook account of both the accused was being investigated by the police. Meanwhile, the accused arrived in India only last month to revive the Khalistani wave.

The accused, who were unaware of the sources in the cell, had arrived in Punjab in the coming times to intensify terrorist activities. He was in contact with Khalistan supporters sitting abroad. Not only this, there has been funding from abroad for this work in his account.

It has also been learned from the sources that some Hindu leaders were targeted on the said accused. Apart from this, they were getting funding from abroad for this work. The police is now trying to find out from them during remand which leaders were targeted by them and who were funding them from abroad.
