Before she passed away, she shot a cameo for Aanand L Rai's Zero. While it was being speculated that she will feature in a special song, the filmmaker shot down the rumours. Now, in an interview with an entertainment channel, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about Sridevi special appearance in Zero.

"That sequence is actually not a long sequence. It's not in any which way… 'Oh, it's a privilege to have had her in the film', because, you know, just the loss is so great," he said.

"I hope wherever she is, she makes the world happy like she's done. Having said that, I kind of started my career when I came and did Army (1996) with her and then she's no more and I have a little scene with her, so it's heartening that way. Though, obviously, having said that, I wish she hadn't passed away. None of us wishes that we wish she was alive and it would have been nicer," Shah Rukh added.

The actor also said that Sridevi would have been the first person to receive an invitation to the trial screening of Zero if she were still alive. "She would have been the first person I would have called. So, it's sad. I really wish her children, her husband and whole family very well," he said.

Zero will see Shah Rukh playing a vertically challenged man from Meerut named Bauua Singh. He is in a complicated love triangle with a wheelchair-bound scientist (Anushka Sharma) and an actress battling alcoholism (Katrina Kaif).

The film, which also has special appearances by Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Rani Mukherjee, Karisma Kapoor, Kajol and Salman Khan, is slated to release on December 21.
