WI Vs IND 3rd ODI: After India lost the 2nd one-day international match, the visitors made a strong comeback in the final game of this three-match ODI series.
The home side had won the toss and elected to bowl first. But their decision was totally wrong as India had a good start to their innings. Ishan and Shubman added 143 runs for the first wicket.
Then it was Sanju Samson who entertained the crowd with a knock of 51 runs and skipper Hardik Pandya was the one who gave India the much-needed finishing kick.
The stand-in ODI skipper was unbeaten on 70 runs and that allowed the men in blue side to amass 351 runs in their allotted fifty overs quota.
The bowlers who were in good form were brilliant once again. Shardul Thakur again took the most wickets in this game as he did in the 2nd one-day international match.
Lord Thakur was well supported by Mukesh Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav. This collective and all-round effort allowed India to seal the final match by 200 runs and also the ODI series by the margin of 2-1.
The young wicket-keeper batter of Team India, Ishan Kishan won the Man of the Series award for scoring three back-to-back half-centuries in this three-match one-day international series.
Ishan is the highest run scorer of this ODI series with 184 runs in three games. He had a highest average of 61.33 and second highest strike rate of 111.52. Kishan had also smashed the most fours (21) and joint second most sixes (5) in this series.
By scoring a half-century in the final one-day international game, Ishan Kishan has a record of smashing a fifty in all three games of a bilateral series.
Kishan is just the sixth Indian player to achieve this record in a short career in the fifty-overs format and he has joined an elite list of Indian legends.
