India advanced to the final of the Under-19 World Cup in the West Indies after defeating Australia in the semi-finals. With successive triumphs in the World Cup, Team India continues to develop its caravan. On 3 February 2018, the Indian team defeated Australia in the final of the Under-19 World Cup for the fourth time, setting a new event record. The squad won by defeating Pakistan by 203 runs in the semi-final and by 8 wickets in the final under the captaincy of Prithvi Shaw.

On 3 February, Team India won the World Cup for the fourth time in a final held at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Team India previously won the World Cup in 2000 under Mohammad Kaif's leadership, in 2008 under Virat Kohli's captaincy, in 2012 under Unmukt Chand's captaincy, and in 2018 under Prithvi Shaw's captaincy.

Team India has won the Under-19 World Cup the most times (4 times) and has also appeared in the most finals in this tournament. With a win over Australia on Wednesday, Team India advanced to the final for the eighth time.

India triumphed by eight wickets in the final match of the year. Australia won the toss and chose to bat first in the match. The Indian bowlers put in outstanding efforts, dismissing the Australian innings for 216 runs. Ishan Porel, Shiva Singh, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, and Anukul Roy each grabbed two wickets to keep Australia from scoring a huge total.

Manjot Kalra of Delhi was the highlight of the Indian innings after that. Manjot scored a superb century against Australia in the final, easily surpassing the target of 217 runs.

India vs England

Many of this team's players are vying for a spot in the IPL and the current Indian team. In IPL and international cricket, players like Captain Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma, Shivam Mavi, and Kamlesh Nagarkoti are receiving opportunities. There are some such players in India's current team who will be seen playing cricket on a large scale in the near future.

Team India now has to play against England in the final on February 5, and everyone is hoping that they can reclaim their title in this competition. The Indian squad was defeated in the final of the Under 19 World Cup in 2020, which was held in Bangladesh.
