South African Batsman Tenba Bavuma Ruled Out of Test series Due to Injury

South Africa's middle-order batsman Tenba Bavuma will not be able to play in the Boxing Day Test against England due to a hamstring injury. Tenba Bavuma was named in the squad for the four-match Test series to be played between the two countries, but he could not make it to the first Test due to injury. The first Test match between hosts South Africa and England will be played from 26 to 30 December at Centurion.

Cricket South Africa tweeted, "South African batsman Tenba Bavuma will not be able to play in the first Test against England due to a hamstring strain on his lower back. He will however remain in the camp and with the team's medical staff and will participate in the rehabilitation program. Hopefully he will be fit in 7 to 10 days."

An email issued by the South Africa Cricket Board said that we will take a decision after the four-day warm-up match for the replacement of Tenba Bavuma. South Africa has to play a four-Test series against England, whose first Test is to be played at Centurion from 26 December, which is a Boxing Day Test match. After the Test series, three ODIs and three T20 matches are to be played between the two countries. In such a situation, we can say that this is going to be a big tour for both the countries.
