Indian women cricket team's young opener batsman Shafali Verma and all-rounder Sneh Rana on Wednesday nominated for ICC women's 'Player of the Month' award for June after their impressive performances on the tour of England. The 17-year-old Shafali Verma, who impressed everyone in the shortest format of the game, made her scintillating Test debut against England with fifties in both innings, scoring 96 and 63. She became the first player in India and the fourth player in the world to score half-centuries in both the innings of her debut Test. Her first innings score was the best score by an Indian woman on debut. He also scored 59 runs in two ODIs against England at a strike rate of 85.50.

She also took four wickets for 131 runs in England's innings. England's left-arm spinner Ecclestone was the most successful bowler in the one Test against India.
