World champion PV Sindhu may not be in form, but she continues to thrive in the Premier Badminton League (PBL). Hyderabad Hunters have retained Sindhu in the amount of Rs 77 lakhs. However, world number one Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying succeeded in touching Sindhu in terms of money. He was bought by Bangalore Raptors for Rs 77 lakhs.

The center of attraction in the bid held on Tuesday were doubles shuttler Satwik Sairajrajankireddy and Lakshya Sen. Satwik was bought by Chennai Superstars for 62 lakhs and Lakshya for Rs 36 lakh. Parupalli Kashyap, husband of Saina Nehwal, who decided not to play in PBL, was bought by Mumbai Rockets for Rs 43 lakh.

Hyderabad, exercising his authority, decided to keep sindhu in their team. But there was a fierce competition between Bangalore and Pune Seven Aces over Tai Ju Ying, in which Bangalore won. Satwik was the most in demand. He got an all-round bid. Mumbai, Awadhe Warriors, Hyderabad Hunters and Chennai were competing to get him, in which Chennai won.

Hyderabad bought Saurabh Verma for 41 lakhs and Darren Lew of Malaysia for 33 lakhs. Awadhe Warriors retained China's Beiwan Zhang for 39 lakhs while Korea's doubles shuttler Sung Hyun bought for 55 lakhs. Bangalore Raptors retained B. Sai Paranit for 32 lakhs. Chennai bought Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia for 41 lakhs. Pune Seven Aces retained Chirag Shetty for 15 lakhs. Apart from Saina, Srikanth has decided not to play in PBL.
