Pakistan Team Never had a Biased Attitude Towards Religion: Javed Miandad

There has been an uproar in Pakistan cricket for the last few days. Former Pakistani spinner Danish Kaneria has accused the team player of discrimination. He said that being a Hindu player, the players of the Pakistani team at that time did not talk to him. Even they did not like to eat together. The former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar raised this issue. After the controversy grew, the Pakistan Cricket Board gave clarification in this matter. PCB said that this case is against the players who played in the team with Kaneria at that time. This has nothing to do with Pakistan cricket or the board.

Former Pakistani captain Javed Miandad, who is always in controversies, believes that if Pakistan had a discriminatory attitude with the minority Hindu community, Danish Kaneria would not be able to play for the country for 10 years. Miandad made the remark after Shoaib Akhtar's statement that some Pakistani cricketers did not dine with Kaneria because he was Hindu. Miandad said, "Pakistan gave him so much and he played Test cricket for 10 years. Had religion been an issue, would it have been possible? In Pakistan cricket, we never had a biased attitude towards religion."

Miandad also supported the statement of PCB chief Ehsan Mani, in which Mani said that other teams should avoid visiting India amid protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act. Miandad said that India is insecure, not Pakistan. Tourists are unsafe here. The whole world is watching what is happening in India. I believe that all kinds of sporting relations with India should be ended.
