The Pakistan Cricket Board on Thursday informed that the remainder of the 2021 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will resume on June 9 at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Earlier, all these matches were scheduled to be held in Karachi, Pakistan, but due to the second wave of Coronavirus, it was shifted to UAE.

Meanwhile, 6 doubleheader matches will take place during the tournament. The final will be played on June 24. On June 25, Pakistan's team will leave for England tour. The PSL was suspended in March after 14 matches due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Lahore Qalandars to take on Islamabad United in the first match:

Announcing on Thursday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that on June 9, the team of Lahore Qalandars will take on Islamabad United in the 15th match of the tournament. The decision of 6 doubleheaders has been taken keeping in view of the England tour. PCB said, "We wanted the tournament to end as soon as possible. There will be 5 doubleheaders in the league round. At the same time, the Qualifier-1 and Eliminator matches of the playoff will also be played on the same day (June 21)."

Several players who arrived in the UAE on a chartered flight from Pakistan ended their 7-day isolation period on Wednesday. Many teams also trained on Wednesday. Players of all 6 teams will be able to practice from June 3 to 8.

The Pakistan team will leave for England on June 25. The team has to play a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches from 8 July to 20 July. The ODI matches between Pakistan and England will be played on July 8, 10 and 13. At the same time, there will be 3 T20 matches on 16, 18 and 20 July.
