After a long wait of 10 years on Wednesday, Pakistan cricket fans finally got to see their team's match. On Wednesday, Pakistan team will play against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi in the first match of the two-Test series.  No team has come to play Test series in Pakistan in last 10 years. Sri Lanka was the team that played in Pakistan for the last time in a Test match, and now the Test cricket will start here again.

For the first time after ten years, Sri Lanka is going to play Test matches on Pakistan's land. In the 2009 Sri Lankan team last played a Test match here and now again they are going to play the Test match here. After the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team, no Test team came to visit Pakistan. Test cricket is returning to Pakistan after a long gap of 10 years. Sri Lanka will play two Test matches in Pakistan under the Test Championship. The first match will be played from 11 to 15 December in Ravalpindi. The second match is to be held in Karachi from December 19 to 23.

Sri Lanka's team was on a tour of Pakistan in 2009 to play a two-match Test series. After a two-day game, when the Sri Lankan team was going towards the stadium for the third day's game, then, they were attacked by terrorists. The game of the remaining three of the match was canceled and the Sri Lankan team returned back home. This is the first time since 2009 that a foreign team has arrived to play in Pakistan.
