Pakistan Team won the toss and decided to bat first and they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Sri Lanka bowled out the Pakistan Team for 191 in the first innings on Thursday on the first day of the second Test match at the National Stadium. Sri Lanka scored 64 runs for three wickets till the end of the first day's play. The visiting team is currently 127 runs behind Pakistan's score.

Angelo Matthews returned unbeaten after scoring (08) and Lasith Ambuldenia (03) by the end of the first day's play. Apart from him, Oshada Fernando contributed (04), captain Dimuth Karunaratne (25) and Kushal Mendis contributed 13 runs. Mohammad Abbas took two wickets and Shaheen Afridi took one wicket from Pakistan.
