In the 18th match of IPL held on 9 April, Mumbai Indians faced Royal Challengers Bangalore which was won by Bangalore. This is Mumbai's fourth consecutive defeat in the 15th season of IPL. This was the first match in the history of the IPL when the Mumbai team entered the field with only two foreign players.

Chasing 152, Bangalore made a slow start. Faf and Anuj Rawat shared 50 runs for the first wicket. Meanwhile, Faf was dismissed for 16 runs.
