Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has become angry on the Pakistan Cricket Board. Inzamam-ul-Haq has accused the Pakistan Cricket Board of ignoring Test cricket. Inzamam has also defended fast bowler Mohammad Aamir.

Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq lashed out at the PCB. Inzamam-ul-Haq has strongly criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board for playing two additional T20 matches in exchange for a Test on the West Indies tour. The West Indies Cricket Board has agreed to play two additional T20 matches in July-August.

Pakistan will be on the Windies tour from July 21 to August 24, where they will play five T20s and two Test matches. All T20 matches will be played in Barbados and Guyana while Test matches will be played in Jamaica. Inzamam said, "If they want to play more T20 matches then I don't have any problem. But its Test cricket should not be sacrificed."

Aamir's defense

The former captain said that fast bowler Mohammad Aamir was severely criticized for prioritizing T20 cricket over Test cricket and decided to retire from Test cricket. Inzamam said, "Something similar happened with Wahab Riyaz. But now by making T20 matches instead of Test matches, PCB still wants to give the same message. How can you stop players from leaving the Test?"

He said that Pakistan should not be too worried about the lack of T20 matches before the World Cup. The former captain said, "If you wanted more practice for the T20 World Cup, we should have asked them for the T20s without shortening the Test matches. If you ignore the Test matches, it will be in the long run Will harm our cricket. Even if Pakistan does not get more T20 matches."
