IND vs ZIM T20 Series: India's champion T20 cricket team will play a five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe after five days. However, this will not be the same team that won the title.
Instead, a young Indian team will tour Zimbabwe. The series is set to begin on July 6.
Shubman Gill will captain the Indian team during the Zimbabwe tour. The first T20 match between India and Zimbabwe will be played on July 6, followed by the second T20 on July 7, the third T20 on July 10, the fourth T20 on July 13, and the fifth and final T20 on July 14.
All matches of the T20 series will be held at the Harare Sports Club.
The India vs Zimbabwe T20 series will be broadcast in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Indian fans can enjoy the live matches on Sony Sports Network channels.
The live broadcast will be available on Sony Ten 3 (Hindi) and Sony Ten 4 (Tamil/Telugu) channels. The matches will also be available for live streaming on the 'Sony Liv' app, which requires a subscription.
Several players who performed exceptionally well in IPL 2024 have been included in the Indian team for the Zimbabwe tour. This includes Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma, Tushar Deshpande, Khaleel Ahmed, Dhruv Jurel, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar, and Ravi Bishnoi.
The BCCI has announced that a fresh set of players will be sent to Zimbabwe.
All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in IPL 2024, was also included in the Indian team for the Zimbabwe tour.
However, he is now out of the tour due to an injury. Shivam Dube has been included in the team in his place. There is no information available about the nature of Reddy's injury.
