In the second and pink Test played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, India defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs in just two days to win the two-match Test series 2–0. The victory was decided on the second day when Bangladesh lost six wickets for 152 runs in front of the Indian pace trio. On Sunday, victory was sealed in just 47 minutes. India won their 12th consecutive series at home. At the same time, this is India's seventh consecutive win under Virat's captaincy. Apart from Mushfiqur Rahim, (74), No other Bangladesh batsmen could not face the Indian pacers once again and the entire team was out to 195 runs in 41.1 overs.
Mahmudullah, who retired on the second day due to a muscle strain, did not come out to bat. Umesh Yadav ended the innings of Mushfiqur, by giving Jadeja an easy catch. His innings had 16 fours. Yadav then had Al Amin Hussain caught out by the wicketkeeper and India won. Yadav took five wickets for 53 runs in the second innings, taking a total of eight wickets for 81 runs in the match. Ishant took four wickets for 56 runs in the second innings.
This is Team India's fourth consecutive Test victory in which they have won the innings and runs. No team in the world had done this before. India defeated South Africa by two innings in Ranchi and Pune before winning both matches against Bangladesh.
