The pitch has created a controversy as many cricket pandits are not happy with the rank-turning surfaces which have been used in the BGT 2023 series so far.
The pitch in Ahmedabad is on the slower side and it is said to be a bowling-friendly wicket.
However, in the course of time this pitch at Shri Narendra Modi stadium, has lost its spice which is why it has been on the slower side.
The climate is good for playing the fourth and final match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 between IND Vs AUS at Ahmedabad.
The men in blue will aim for a comeback after the humiliating loss in Indore. The batting display from the home side wasn’t up to the mark and they have a few selection conundrums ahead of the final match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in 2023.
Virat Kohli’s Test match form isn’t great and that is the main worry for Team India.
The openers failed to provide a good start in both innings of the third Test match. Rohit Sharma had set the tone in the first Test with solid innings of 120 runs.
But since then, Hit Man hasn’t converted the starts in the matches played in New Delhi and Indore. The hosts will want their skipper to fire in this do-or-die match.
Shubman Gill was the replacement for KL Rahul in the last Test match. But Gill also failed in both innings at Indore.
Now India will have to rethink retaining Gill for the final match of the BGT 2023 series or they should look at other options like Ishan Kishan at the opening position.
The spin-bowling all-rounders too didn’t have a great game like the first two Tests.
Jadeja and Ashwin failed to bat well. It was only Axar Patel who was stranded in both innings of the 3rd Test match at Indore.
But Axar’s bowling is also a worry and India needs him to step up as a bowler first. India can replace Patel with Kuldeep Yadav, who can bat decently as a lower-order batter.
The chinaman bowler did well in the first Test match against Bangladesh with the bat. He scored useful 40 runs in that 1st innings.
Mohammed Shami should be back for the last Test match. He missed the Indore Test match because of an injury.
Shami can be replaced with Mohammed Siraj, who had nothing to do in the last Test. Team India needs to win this match to qualify for the Finals of the World Test championship in England at The Oval.
While The Aussies have already booked their place in the WTC Final 2023, which will be played from 7th June 2023.
Australia look better team in the Asian and Sub Continent conditions under Smith because he has the experience to lead the side in such tougher and challenging situations.
As the Aussie captain, Steve won his second match in India after his first win in Pune on the 2017 tour of India.
Australia should look to add Ashton Agar to their playing XI because he can give the team a perfect balance and also strengthen the batting unit of the visitors for the final match.
After being 0-2 down, the world number one team bounced back amazingly well to win the third Test match and now the series stans with a margin of 2-1 with a possibility of ending it with two all.
