The pitch at Holkar Stadium in Indore for the IND Vs AUS 3rd Test match will be a red soil pitch which will support the batters and bowlers.
The wicket here will have turn and bounce. The batters can play their strokes while the bowlers will have something at the start of the innings.
The climate is good for playing the third match between IND Vs AUS at Indore.
India leads the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 with a margin of two nil and they have also retained that trophy yet again.
After their good performance in the first two red ball matches, the home side will look to seal the series at their favourite stadium, Holkar Stadium in Indore.
While the Aussies will be without Pat Cummins, David Warner and Josh Hazlewood. Steve Smith will lead this side in the 3rd Test match.
The opener batter of Team India should be included in place of KL Rahul. KL hasn’t been getting those required runs at the opening slot.
He has also been removed as the vice-captain of the team. Rahul’s disappointing performance has continued for a long time while Shubman Gill has the form and momentum.
Gill has slammed a double ton in the fifty overs format and also scored a magnificent century in the shortest format. Shubman should have been given the nod ahead of Rahul at the first place.
However, the selectors can correct their mistakes now by including Gill and leaving Rahul out.
Australia will need the services of Cameron Green in the remaining two matches of this red ball series. Green is an all-rounder who will add depth to Australia’s batting and he can also contribute with the ball.
Australia’s batting has not been up to the mark while their pace bowlers haven’t made any good impression so far.
So, adding Green in the place of Matt Renshaw might help the number one Test side to recover from another slump.
The spin bowling all-rounder of the Australian team might get a chance in the 3rd Test match in Indore. Agar is also an all-rounder who bats lower down the order.
Adding Agar to the playing eleven can help the Aussies in many ways. He can also lengthen the batting card of Australia and his spin bowling services will come in handy, especially after day three of this Test match where cracks will be there on the pitch.
Australia can go with three spinners in their eleven for the 3rd Test match Lyon, Murphy and Agar.
A Test match debut might be on the cards for Lance Morris. The Western Australian cricketer is a right arm medium pace bowler.
He can replace Pat Cummins in the third Test match at Indore. Australia can also think of Scott Boland, who bowled in the first test match in Nagpur.
But Morris can get a nod ahead of him because Boland didn’t do that well with the ball as Australia lost that Test match by innings and 132 runs.
The 24-year-old pacer will have to deliver in the absence of Skipper Cummins and Josh Hazlewood.
The last option for India is to pick Ishan Kishan instead of KS Bharat. Bharat has been good behind the stumps. But his batting hasn’t been that good.
However, he scored an unbeaten 23 runs in the second innings of the second Test match in Delhi, which could build his confidence for the remaining two matches of this Test series.
Ishan Kishan has done a decent job in the limited overs cricket formats and India needs to see how good Kishan can be while facing the red ball as they also need to prepare for the World Test Championship final as well. So including Kishan might not do any harm to them.
