The two captains of their teams will have to sweat it out in the cooler conditions of England. Cummins didn’t look that threatening when he played the Border Gavaskar Series against India and due to that, The Aussies had to lose that series by a margin of 2-1.

The visitors of that series, Australia made a comeback when Steve Smith led the side in the absence of Pat Cummins.

But the conditions in England will suit Cummins and he will be a dangerous bowler to handle. Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper needs to be aware of that.

Sharma will be opening the innings for the Blues while Cummins will be handling the new ball pace attack of Australia.

Till now in six test matches, Rohit has scored 155 runs at an average of 36. Hit Man has been out to Cummins three times in these six occasions.

Virat Kohli Vs Mitchell Starc

The King of cricket will face the dangerous and lethal Starc in the finals of the World Test Championship.

Starc will dominate against Virat Kohli as the world knows Kohli’s weakness which is to bowl outside the off stump. Due to this slump in Virat’s batting, he had the poorest England tour in 2014.

But The King bounced back well and led his team quite brilliantly when India toured in 2018. However, it still remains to be seen if Starc can still bowl on Kohli’s weakness and if Starc does it, then how Kohli will handle it?

Since 2012, these two brilliant players have faced each other in 12 test matches. The King has dominated this left-arm pace bowler.

Kohli has scored 219 runs against him at an average of 73. But Starc has dismissed Virat just three times till now.

India’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami and Australia’s former skipper Steve Smith will be in a close shave once again during this one-off Test match in London.

Smith is well versed with the swinging and seaming conditions in England and the Aussies will rely on him to take them through to a famous win because Steve is MR dependable in all conditions for his team.

Shami has been in great form and India will want him to go an extra yard or so in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. Shami should use all his experience to tackle the Aussie batters and Steve Smith in particular.

In 6 test matches played between these two players, Shami has conceded 209 runs at an average of 137 and dismissed Steve Smith just once till now.
