ICC Releases Latest Test Rankings, Kane Williamson Retains Top Spot

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday released the latest Test Rankings after the first Test match played between Pakistan and West Indies.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday released the latest Test Rankings after the first Test match played between Pakistan and West Indies and the second Test match played between England and India. England captain Joe Root and Pakistan captain Babar Azam have jumped two places to reach at number two and eighth positions respectively.

Before the first match of the two-match Test series against West Indies, Azam was placed at number 10, but has now reached the 8th position. Apart from Australian batsmen Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and David Warner have slipped one place each.

ICC Test Bowlers ranking:

Talking about the bowlers' position in the ICC Test rankings, there has been no change in the top 5, but James Anderson has moved up from seventh to sixth place, while Jason Holder has made it into the top 10 again. He has moved from 11th to 9th. Jasprit Bumrah has slipped from 9th to 10th position despite great performance against England. At the same time, there has been a change in the top 10 in the ranking of all-rounders, where Ravindra Jadeja has slipped from second to third place.

  5. Virat Kohli – 776 points
  6. Rohit Sharma – 773 points

  9. David Warner – 724 points
