In the second T20 match, West Indies defeated Australia by 56-run with the help of 103 runs partnership between Shimron Hetmyer and Dwayne Bravo. Hetmyer scored 61 runs off 36 balls, while Bravo played a crucial inning of 47 runs off 34 balls. Earlier, in the first match of the five-match T20 series being played at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia, Australia had to face defeat by 18 runs.

Talking about this match, Australian team captain Aaron Finch had won the toss and decided to bowl, but his decision proved to be wrong when the West Indies team put 196 runs on the scoreboard. From the Caribbean team, Shimron Hetmyer, Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell played explosive innings.

Lendl Simmons provided solidity at the top of the order for the West Indies with 30 from 21 balls. After that, Hetmyer scored 61 runs off 36 balls with the help of 2 fours and 4 sixes, while DJ Bravo scored an unbeaten 47 off 34 balls with the help of 1 four and 3 sixes. At the same time, Andre Russell played a stormy inning of 24 runs in 8 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes.

On the other hand, the Australian team collapsed for 140 runs in 19.2 overs and lost the match by a margin of 56 runs. Mitchell Marsh scored the highest 54 runs for Australia. Apart from him, Josh Philippe scored 13 runs and Moises Henriques scored 19 runs. Apart from these, no batsman could even cross the double-figure. Hayden Walsh Jr took three wickets for the Caribbean team. Chris Gayle bowled Josh Hazlewood with his second delivery in the final over to end the Australian innings.
