Gibbs praised Captain Virat Kohli:

Meanwhile, Gibbs also explained why he didn't pick West Indies, which are considered to be the T20 specialist team. The 47-year-old former player believes that the pitches in the UAE will be spin friendly, and the Windies batsmen will struggle against spin as they prefer to play on wickets where the ball does not turn.

Interestingly, the three teams that Gibbs has selected, have all won the T20 World Cup. India won the trophy in 2007 under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Then this tournament was organized for the first time. Similarly, Pakistan won the tournament in 2009, while England won the title in 2010 under the leadership of Paul Collingwood.
