England's tour of Bangladesh, scheduled to take place in September-October has been postponed until 2023, the two countries said on Tuesday. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have decided to re-schedule the tour. During this, there will be three ODIs and three T20 Internationals. The ECB said in a release that the tour will now take place in the first two weeks of March 2023. During this, three ODIs and three T20Is will be held in Dhaka and Chittagong.

In an official statement, the ECB said, "With all the challenges of Covid and a packed cricket calendar, both boards agreed that the best approach was to reschedule the tour." On the other hand, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had already confirmed that English players will now be available for the remainder of the Indian Premier League 2021 in the UAE from September 19. With the England-Bangladesh series being postponed, English players can play in the IPL and prepare well for the T20 World Cup, which is to be held in the UAE and Oman just after the IPL.
