The Indian team has suffered a major setback in the form of fast bowler Deepak Chahar for the next four months. Deepak Chahar, who recently took a hat-trick, has been badly injured. So far, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was struggling with the problem and was running out of Team India. Similarly, now Deepak Chahar is also injured and will not play for the team for four months.

In the meeting of selectors held in Delhi on Monday, it was informed that Deepak Chahar has a complaint of stress fracture in the lower back. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sent an email for the team's selection to the selection committee, including Deepak Chahar's injury update. At the end of the mail, it is also written that how long it is possible for Deepak Chahar to return, because it is a very serious injury. It has been written in BCCI's email that Deepak Chahar has a lower back strain fracture. He complained of pain before the last ODI against West Indies in Cuttack, after which he was advised to rest, but now when all medical tests were done, it was found that he had a stress fracture. His rehabilitation has started at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He is expected to regain his fitness by April 2020.

Jasprit Bumrah, who suffered a stroke fracture before Deepak Chahar, has returned to the Indian team. Bumrah last played a World Cup semi-final in July 2019. At the same time, he was part of the Test series on the West Indies tour, but after that he complained of a stress fracture, after which he was dropped from the team for four months. It is being said that Deepak Chahar can miss some matches of IPL too.
